The Full Blood Moon over Greater Metro Atlanta - Eerie and beautiful, mother nature never fails to impress. During a total lunar eclipse, the Earth aligns directly between the Sun and the Moon, casting Earth’s shadow over the Moon and causing it to appear red—a phenomenon often referred to as a “Blood Moon.” Many native tribes people regard both solar and lunar eclipses with deep respect, viewing these events as times of special transformation. Worth the late night to see this one up close!

Another perfect sunset in the endless paradise of the BVI. But why are some sunsets so extra-special? The colors we see in a sunset are the results of a scientific phenomenon called light scattering, when light rays hit particles in the air, changing the direction of the light. The color we see is determined by the different wavelengths of light, plus the size of the particles in the atmosphere.

At sunrise and sunset, the sun is low on the horizon, and the rays of sunlight pass through more air in the atmosphere than when the sun is higher in the sky. When sunlight passes through more atmosphere, there are more particles to scatter the light. Thus, we see the red color because of the dust, moisture and because red has the longest wavelength in the spectrum. Interesting facts to let float away as you melt into the subjective beauty of a tropical evening!

"The best journeys in life are those we take together" - A hiking group pushes through one of the more challenging corners of the Narrows. The Narrows is the narrowest section of Zion Canyon in Zion National Park, Utah, United States. Situated on the North Fork of the Virgin River and upstream of the main canyon, The Narrows is one of the premier hikes in the park and on the Colorado Plateau. The care they showed for each other during every step reminded me that we are always better off tackling challenges together

There are ornate wood carvings to represent the philosophy of life all around the temple’s four wings; each wind has been dedicated to Thai, Khmer, Chinese, and Indian religious symbols. A must see for your tour through Thailand!
